Ramm Botanicals is the world's leading breeder and marketer of Anigozanthos plant varieties, known commonly as kangaroo paws.

Our plant breeding program is directed by Angus Stewart, who has been actively involved in the breeding for over 25 years. We have a dedicated team of product development specialists working on Anigozanthos and a wide range of other projects.

Our outstanding kangaroo paw hybrids are exported to many markets including U.S.A., Europe, Japan, South Africa, New Zealand and Israel. We breed our kangaroo paws for improved pot and garden performance, increased disease tolerance, better natural branching, repeat flowering nature, neater upright foliage and, of course, wonderful flower colours. Kangaroo paws are known for their fuss-free performance and low water requirements in temperate to Mediterranean climates.

Our aim is to breed plants that branch more freely to produce more flowers that bloom earlier and then repeat flower. Our other breeding objectives include selection of tougher plants that require little maintenance and less water, plus we also breed for increased disease tolerance.

This is true of all the plant varieties we market. Whether from our own breeding program, or those of other Australian breeders, notably Nu Flora International, our products strive to wear the Ramm Botanicals 'tricon' indicating low maintenance, drought tolerant, colourful plants.

Currently we have a large number of selections on trial around the world (Australian native and exotic genera) including Brachyscomes, Dianella, Hardenbergia, Mandevilla, Pandorea and Scaevola.
