Kangaroo Paw

Anigozanthos is a small genus of Australian plants in the bloodwort family Haemodoraceae, commonly known as Kangaroo Paws. They are an iconic Australian native and feature unique flowers shaped like a kangaroo’s paw, which is where they get their name from. The most well known Kangaroo Paw would be the red and green variety that is the floral emblem of Western Australia.

Over the years breeding programs have developed many cultivars of different and beautiful colours. All of our breeding programs focus on developing new colour breaks, better form, disease resistance, cold tolerance and greater productivity in tissue culture and nursery production.

Explore our collections below for more information on these very beautiful and distinctive native plants.
