True Lime™ Lomandra, from the trusted Ozbreed collection, is a vibrant and hardy addition to the Australian grasses palette, offering consistently lime green foliage that holds its colour across varying soils and climates—something rare among lime-toned lomandras, especially those in the confertifolia group. Its consistent hue creates a striking contrast against deeper greens and blue-foliaged plants, making it an excellent feature in layered or naturalistic landscape designs.
This Lomandra longifolia variety forms a soft, weeping clump with fine to medium-fine strappy leaves, reaching around 650mm high and wide. Unlike many other Lomandras that shift colour depending on soil pH or fertilisation, True Lime™ maintains its bright lime tone regardless of these factors. It also produces delicate golden male flowers that add subtle seasonal interest while supporting pollinators.
Engineered for performance, True Lime™ Lomandra is ideal for mass plantings, colour accents, biodiversity gardens, and erosion control on slopes, thanks to its strong, stabilising root system. It’s particularly suited to non-humid regions in southern and western Australia, thriving in full sun to part shade and tolerating a broad range of soil types—from sandy soils to heavy clays.
Plant at a density of 3–5 plants per m² for optimal coverage and visual effect. Once established (after 8–13 weeks of watering), this Ozbreed Lomandra requires minimal care. Occasional fertilising in spring and hard pruning every 4–5 years will help rejuvenate its foliage and maintain its neat form. Just be sure to avoid planting the crown below soil or mulch level, and steer clear of humidity and waterlogged conditions.
True Lime™ offers a reliable, low-maintenance solution for adding year-round brightness and texture to grassy landscapes.
